The awards - presented by the main festival sponsors - were announced on the last night of film screenings at the Cinema Vox. The final film in the festival selection ‘Crossing the Ice’ completed the programme, with the
audience laughing and crying along with Cas and Jonesy through their unbelievable adventure. The festival closed proceedings at Moo Bar & Cuisine for the final night party.

The film programme kicked off with the premier of ‘Petit Bus Rouge’ by Sébastien Montaz-Rosset, with the ‘Flying Frenchies’ in attendance. The screening sold out, and a second projection was run immediately afterwards.
An evening of films in Salle Olca, les Houches followed, starting the festival film selection numbering 24 films showcasing 12 sports filmed in 19 different countries. Over the course of four nights, audiences of over a thousand people were wowed by a huge variety of adventure sports, incredible tales, stunning images and inspiring guest speakers including Arnaud Petit & Stéphanie Bodet, Nathanaël Schaeffer and the team from Nat&Co, Sébastien Montaz-Rosset and Alex Marchesseau & Antoine Bletton.

The film programme was preceded by the festival Adventure Film & Photography School, with courses running over four days based at the Majestic Congress. 24 students took part in 4 courses: adventure filmmaker
Sébastien Montaz-Rosset shared trade secrets on the film course and students were lucky enough to learn by shooting professional athletes Vivian Bruchez, Kilian Jornet, Jon Bracey and Anna Frost as part of the course.
Adventure sports photographer Tristan Shu taught students the art of shooting hiking, running, paragliding and rock climbing, using a variety of locations during the one and two-day courses.

The festival exhibition ‘Regards sur l’Aventure’ at the Majestic Congress was open in the hours before the Cinema Vox film screenings, and featured photography, art and sculpture from Sam Beaugey, Luce Choules,
Philippe Fragnol, Tom Hine, Josée de Verité-Mermoud, Sara Pendlebury, René Robert, Matthieu Robin, Vivien Rousseau, Laurent Soyris and Sow Sow.

Our festival base camp tent proved a popular hang-out during the afternoon and film evening intervals, with tickets on sale for film showings, the MBC’s very own beer and the chance to win a Patagonia jacket in the prize
draw each night at the Cinema Vox. Visiting Swiss bike trial duo Rohic Linder and Yann Fringeli entertained crowds with thrilling displays of gravity-defying bike acrobatics in the Place Triangle de l’Amitié.
